About UsWe started Fabric Divas out of a passion for unique and high quality fabrics, buttons, and trims. It is our desire to offer these remarkable items to you to inspire and encourage your creativity. Our mission is very simple; it is to provide the finest:
Fashion Design
So, if you are into creating your own fashions and accessories, a costume designer with a theater company, a crafter in need of a new resource, or a student just learning the basics of fashion design, we think that you will enjoy the selections we have to offer on our website. Also one-of-a-kind fashion designers needing small quantities will find many awesome items possibly not available any where else.
Our Inspiration
Some of OUR inspiration has come from two ladies that have been in the business for many years and share the passion for great textiles and design: Dyllis Braithwaite of Finn’s Fabrics in Barrington, Illinois, and Millie Gieseke of The Fabric Shop in Crystal Lake, Illinois. We thank them both for promoting excellence in textile creativity and their years of service to the sewing community.
Fresh Vintage Boutique
We also have created the “Fresh Vintage Boutique”, which offers many creatively re-purposed and recycled items. We are showcasing local designers and think that you will find their pieces very exciting. We are also excited to announce that we will be offering items from the Little City (in Palatine, Illinois) arts and crafts program. 80% of the proceeds from any items you purchase from these offerings will be given back to support this program. |
